Bengals Sign Willis To Roster, Place Tate On Reserve/Injured
Bengals Activate John Ross, Waive Damion Willis
The Bengals today activated WR John Ross III to the 53-player roster from the Reserve/Injured list and waived WR Damion Willis. Ross, a third-year player, spent the last eight games on the Reserve/Injured list due to a sternoclavicular injury suffered in Game 4 at Pittsburgh.
Bengals Sign Sheldon To Practice Squad
The Bengals signed LB Brady Sheldon to the practice squad. Sheldon (6-5, 231), a first-year player out of Ferris State University, originally was a college free agent signee of the Oakland Raiders in 2017. He also spent time on the Browns’ and Packers’ practice squads.
Dennard Cleared To Practice
The Bengals today cleared CB Darqueze Dennard to resume practicing with the team. Dennard, who had a left knee injury, remains on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, but he may now practice without counting against the 53-player roster limit for a period of up to 21 days.
Bengals Acquire Johnson, Place Wynn On Reserve/Injured
Defensive end Kerry Wynn, a sixth-year player, appeared in the Bengals’ first two games this season and recorded two tackles. Offensive lineman Fred Johnson (6-7, 325), a rookie out of the University of Florida, was originally a college free agent signee of the Steelers in May.
