Five Observations from Day 2 of Bengals Training Camp

1. Ja'Marr & Tee

Joe Burrow came out firing, with a 58-yard TD to Tee Higgins and multiple throws to Ja’Marr Chase.

"They've got 2 number one receivers," said Bengals legend Isaac Curtis. "This is a very special receiving crew. It's one of the best."

2. Praise For Peters

Anthony Munoz has attended both practices and sees some of his former O-line coach Jim NcNally in Scott Peters.

"I said to Dave Lapham, 'Does this look familiar?' What I love is the breakdown of the techniques. I'm impressed not only by his teaching, but by his intensity."

3. Tackling is a Focal Point

The defense spent time rotating through some basic tackling drill stations.

"Tackling has to improve," said Duke Tobin. "I think that's job number one. We have guys that have tackled better than they did last year, and they have to get back to that.

4. Physicality Up Front

The O-line opened up some nice holes for Chase Brown and Tahj Brooks.

"We had a lot of hat-on-a-hat good runs," said Ted Karras. "I thought it's been a good first two days of camp. Even without pads, it's very physical out there."

5. Rookie Reps

Rookie Dylan Fairchild is getting the starter's reps at LG.

"He's got some pretty freaky physical traits and that's a good starting point to becoming a good pro," said Dan Pitcher. "That's certainly not the only thing you need, and we think he's got the other stuff too."
