Five Observations from Day 15 of Bengals Training Camp

1. Cook Ramping Back Up

Bryan Cook took part in position drills and Dax Hill was running and cutting on the side field. Both players are rehabbing leg injuries with the expectation of being ready for the season opener.

"I want to hit the ground running, so we're taking the right precautions to do that," said Cook. "So far so good. I'm very excited about where I'm at, and I have plenty of time to make sure I'm right for week one."

2. B.J. Hill Back

B.J. Hill took part in 11-on-11 periods for the first time since being cleared to practice nine days ago following an ankle injury.

"I am truly blessed to be back out there," Hill said. "What I've been through the last couple of months wasn't an easy road. A lot of frustration and ups and downs. I don't take it for granted, and it was really awesome to be back out there."

3. Strong Offensive Line Day

I thought that the offensive line had a stellar day in pass protection. Joe Burrow had time and space in the pocket on nearly all of his throws.

"Looking back at this last month, it's been quite an advantage to go up against that D-line every single day," Ted Karras said. "I think we're getting a lot better all across the board. I think there are some things we've got to clean up, but we're not going against the slouch squad over there."

4. Best on Best

One of the most enjoyable things about this camp has been watching Ja’Marr Chase and DJ Turner go head-to-head. It's a classic case of iron sharpens iron. "

DJ is going against the best, and Chase is going up against an up-and-coming star," WR coach Troy Walters said. "Both of those guys have to be on their game and can't take a play off or they'll get exposed."

5. Money Mac on Target

Practice ended with a fun scenario. The offense started at its own 35 yard line with :19 left and one time out needing a field goal to win. Burrow found Andrei Iosivas over the middle for a 22-yard gain and Evan McPherson nailed a 61-yard field goal.

"I was hoping they would only make it to the 50 so that we could try something crazy," McPherson said. "But 61 (yards) was a good test, and it was cool to go through that situation and do it effectively. Hopefully we'll do it in a game."

"He's the GOAT," Amarius Mims said. "Money Mac for President."
