Bengals HB Jeremy Hill today was named by the NFL as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. In a crucial AFC North Division battle at Cleveland this past Sunday, Hill rushed for 148 yards on 25 carries (5.9 avg.) and also had a four-yard reception.

He scored two touchdowns, on runs of two and 16 yards, as the Bengals seized control with a 20-0 halftime lead. Hill rushed for 103 yards on 16 carries (6.4) in the first half. Hill rushed for all 36 yards on Cincinnati's second TD drive, following a punt return that had carried to the Cleveland 36.

A rookie from LSU, Hill is the first Bengal this season to win an NFL weekly or monthly award. The last Bengal to win one of the awards was QB Andy Dalton, named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance last season in Week 14 vs. Indianapolis.
