Five Observations from Day 6 of Bengals Training Camp

1. Trey Hendrickson in the Building

Trey Hendrickson won't practice until his contract is resolved, but he did watch closely and provide pointers.

"No distractions," Trey said. "I'm excited to be here. I think it's great to see the brotherhood that's been created."

2. Anthoner Strong Showing for Andrei

Andrei Iosivas had a banner day with multiple downfield catches.

"I think everybody in the building knows my skill and what I can do," Iosivas said. "Now it's about the world knowing."

"We're as deep as we've been at the receiver position since I've been here," Joe Burrow said.

3. Fairchild Showing Up

Dylan Fairchild looked good in 1-on-1 pass rush drills vs T.J. Slaton and others.

"Forget about what you did in college," said Scott Peters. "It's like 2 different games — checkers and chess. Don't go out there like a meathead. "He has physical traits that are pretty top end."

4. Montgomery Mentoring Stewart

Shemar Stewart gets frequent post-snap instruction from D-line coach Jerry Montgomery.

"If you do something right, I'm going to pat you on the back," he said. "If you do something wrong, I'm going to show you how to do it better. "Technique and fundamentals are everything."

5. Just The Beginning for Rehkow

Ryan Rehkow set team records for punting avg (49.1) and net avg (42.9), and expects to be even better in his second NFL season.

"I don't feel like I was performing at my best," he said. "I feel like I was surviving week-to-week. "That's not the peak. It's just the beginning."
