Simpson, Rucker inactive again

GREEN BAY, Wis. - For the second straight game Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis sat down wide receiver Jerome Simpson, defensive end Frostee Rucker, rookie tight end Chase Coffman, and rookie safety Tom Nelson as the Bengals took to Lambeau Field to warm up Sunday for the Packers.

Also down were the injured, cornerback David Jones, left guard Nate Livings, and rookie right tackle Andre Smith. Backup offensive lineman Scott Kooistra, inactive last week, returned to the active list. The count for Simpson in his two seasons is 10 inactives and six games.

First-round pick B.J. Raji, a defensive tackle that so impressed the Bengals when they coached him in the Senior Bowl, was inactive for the second straight week. Also down as expected was starting safety Atari Bigby.

Also for the second straight week the Bengals played in their all white uniforms, an outfit that has gone 5-11. This year Lewis plans to announce the team as a unit before road games while announcing them individually according offense, defense, or special teams at home.

Green Bay won the toss and received.
