The Bengals on Tuesday made the following roster moves:

Signed free agent defensive tackle Orien Harris, a second-year player from Miami (Fla.). Harris (6-3, 300) is in his second stint with the Bengals this season. He was initially signed on Oct. 20. He played in one game and was inactive for two games before being waived on Nov. 17. He has 17 games of NFL experience, with one start, with 24 career tackles.

Waived seventh-year guard Scott Kooistra. Kooistra played in three games this season on special teams. He opened the season with Cincinnati, was released on Nov. 3 and was re-signed on Nov. 9.

PRACTICE SQUAD MOVE: The Bengals also signed cornerback Antonio Smith of Ohio State to the practice squad. Smith (5-9, 190) is classified as a second-year NFL player. He entered the NFL in 2007 as a college free agent with Indianapolis, and spent the regular season on the Colts' Reserve/Injured list. He was waived by Indianapolis during the 2008 preseason and was briefly on the Detroit practice squad during the 2008 regular season. He was with Detroit and San Diego during the 2009 preseason, and was waived by the Chargers on Sept. 6.

Smith takes a practice squad spot opened today when CB Geoff Pope was signed off the Bengals practice squad to the Philadelphia Eagles 53-player roster.
