Roster moves

The Bengals on Tuesday made the following roster moves:

  • Signed guard Andrew Crummey from the Washington Redskins practice squad. Crummey (6-5, 301; Maryland) is a rookie, signed by Washington last May 7 as a college free agent. He played in all four Redskins preseason games, was waived on Aug. 30, and was signed Sept. 1 to the Redskins practice squad. Crummey will wear uniform No. 60.
  • Placed rookie linebacker Keith Rivers of Southern California on the Reserve/Injured list. Rivers sustained a jaw fracture in last weekends game vs. Pittsburgh. The Bengals' top 2008 draft choice, he has started every game this season at WLB and ranks second on the team in tackles (50), with one interception and one forced fumble.
  • Waived kicker Dave Rayner, a fourth-year player from Michigan State. Rayner was signed Oct. 11 as a replacement for injured kicker Shayne Graham and played in the last two games, going one-for-one on field goals and three-for-three on PATs.

The Bengals now have one open spot on the 53-player roster.
