Quick hits: Dalton hopeful

!

» The first impression is that Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton did not break his right wrist. It is believed he will have an MRI Sunday night to confirm.

"The plan is I'm going to play; that's the hope," Dalton said. "We'll see. I lost a little bit of feeling in my hand and I couldn't grip the ball the way I wanted to."

» On the go-ahead 41-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver A.J. Green, backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski said offensive coordinator Jay Gruden called the play to set up quickly.

"We lined up pretty quick," Gradkowski said. "The defense wasn't set. A.J. made a great play. I would have been pretty upset with myself if I didn't make that play. That was the easiest touchdown ever. I was looking for a flag."

» Green on the frustration of not having a catch before the touchdown:
"I'll take this one. I'd rather have this than a 100-yard game or anything else."

» Defensive tackle Domata Peko on the defense's mindset coming into the game:
"It gives you a pretty big chip on your shoulder. It makes you angry. It makes you want to prove everybody wrong, and that's what we did today. The game plan was to shut down (Peyton Hillis) and to get in (Browns QB Colt) McCoy's face. It was good to see him lying on the ground a couple of times, especially in the fourth quarter."

» Left tackle Andrew Whitworth left the locker room with his foot in a boot. He didn't seem too concerned.

» All three Bengals touchdowns came on third-down plays, including the game-sealing 39-yard score by runing back Cedric Benson. It was a power play that the Bengals have run all preseason to the right side behind right guard Cling and right tackle Andre Smith while left guard Nate Livings pulled.

"You have to give credit to the offensive line on that one. Nobody touched me," Benson said.

» Gradkowski on the running game:
"I'm really excited about the way we ran the ball. Our offensive line was tremendous. They really wanted it."

» Dalton finished 10-of-15 for 81 yards with one TD and no interceptions (102.4 rating). Gradkowski was 5-of-12 for 92 yards and the score to Green (96.5 rating). He also did not have an interception as both quarterbacks managed the game well.

» Green had four targets with one catch.
