It appeared the only injured player sitting out Thursday's first full-scale practice for the game against the Texans Monday at Paul Brown Stadium (8:30 p.m.-Cincinnati's Channel 5 and ESPN) was starting right tackle Andre Smith (concussion).

Left tackle Andrew Whitworth also was out, but it's believed he's just taking a day off and isn't hurt, and same with cornerback Leon Hall. Rookie Cedric Ogbuehi expressed excitement at working in place of Whitworth. Before practice he indicated he'd be taking Whitworth's snaps with the starters on the first team on a day the team is going at a good physical rate because the uniform of the day was shoulder pads.

Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (knee) and right guard Kevin Zeitler (foot) went limited. Middle linebacker Rey Maualuga (calf), who missed last Thursday's game, went full go . . .

As a nod to the safety of video director Travis Brammer and his staff, head coach Marvin Lewis moved practice to the PBS field so they could shoot practice in the booths. With winds expected to kick up to about 30-40 miles per hour, he didn't want any camera operators venturing into towers above the grass field across the street.
