Practice squad move

The Bengals on Tuesday signed rookie defensive end James Ruffin to the practice squad to take the place of safety Rico Murray and to put them back to the full complement of eight players. The 6-4, 263-pound Ruffin signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent out of Northern Iowa April 30 and played in all four Buccaneers preseason games with two tackles and two QB pressures. He was waived by Tampa Bay Sept. 5.
