Palmer: I'm playing

Updated: 4:20 p.m.

Carson Palmer, marked officially on the injury report as "limited," threw lightly on the side Thursday and participated in all the run plays while vowng he'll play Sunday in Dallas. He threw from 28 to 30 yards to trainer Nick Cosgray and said he'll try to put more velocity on his ailing right elbow Friday.

"It definitely feels much better today than it did yesterday," Palmer said. "I'm playing. I'm preparing to play. I expect to play until I'm told differently.

"I'll try to throw again tomorrow and see what happens."

Backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the designated passer this week, took the passing snaps.

Among those that were back working on Thursday after being listed as not practicing on Wednesday's injury report included linebacker Dhani Jones (foot), who was going through contact drills with the linebackers, and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (ankle), who was back working with the DBs after working on the side Wednesday. Both were upgraded to limited.

Running back Chris Perry (hamstring) and defensive tackle Domata Peko (hand) were dressed in uniform Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Perry said he took his snaps Thursday and that they were just resting him and that his hamstring is fine. He went through a full practice and Peko was limited.

Running back Kenny Watson (hamstring) and backup middle linebacker Corey Mays (foot in a boot) did not participate.

Cowboys starting center Andre Gurode (ankle) surfaced Thursday on the report with an ankle injury after not participating. Defensive tackle Tank Johnson (ankle) was upgraded to limited.
