Bengals waive DT Bilukidi to make room for CB McCalebb

The Bengals' last minute move they made Saturday before they left for Baltimore could have some ramifications for Sunday's game (1 p.m.-Cincinnati's Local 12) against the Ravens and beyond.

The signing of cornerback Onterio McCalebb to the roster from the practice squad may indicate that first-round pick Darqueze Dennard (hip) isn't ready to play. He was listed as questionable Friday after not practicing.  He had been limited all week.

The waiving of defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi to make room for McCalebb may mean that former Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson is in play next week. Erroneous reports had Vickerson signing with the Bengals after he worked out for them last week.

The move could also mean the Bengals go with seven defensive linemen and add one on the offensive line Sunday when head coach Marvin Lewis hands in his active sheet 90 minutes before the game.  McCalebb spent all last year on the practice squad in order to make the transition from Auburn running back. Special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons had praise for his work in the kicking game this preseason.
