Bengals Honor Veterans and Military Members with "Salute to Service"

The Bengals will honor veterans and military members during the team's annual "Salute to Service" game this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals will host 1000 military members and their families as part of an ongoing partnership with Armed Forces Tickets Association (AFTA).

Military members will be introduced alongside players as they take the field during pregame introductions. They will remain on the field with the players during the national anthem.

A giant American flag will be unfurled by 120 members of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy. The national anthem will be performed by the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base choir, followed by a pregame flyover by the Tri-State Warbird Museum. Ohio National Guard members will serve as the honor guard for the game.

Tight end Tyler Eifert is the Bengals nominee for the annual "Salute to Service" award. The award recognizes NFL players, coaches, personnel and alumni who demonstrate an exemplary commitment to honoring and supporting the military community. Eifert, whose cousin is a pilot in the United States Air Force, has teamed up with K9s For Warriors, an organization that provides service dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Special "Salute to Service" merchandise is available at the Bengals Pro Shop and Bengals.com, with proceeds donated to the NFL's military non-profit partners, including the USO, Pat Tillman Foundation, TAPS and Wounded Warrior Project.

In addition to "Salute to Service," Bengals Legends will be recognized during a halftime ceremony as part of the Bengals 50th season. The Bengals will honor Super Bowl XVI head coach Forrest Gregg, who will be represented by his son, and Super Bowl XXIII head coach Sam Wyche during the ceremony.
