White Play Lifts Bengals

E. RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Safety Marvin White gave the Bengals a lift early in third quarter when he made a leaping interception inside the Bengals 5 for his first career pick coming on Jets quarterback Brett Favre's NFL record 293rd interception. White made Favre pay for throwing it across the field.

Then early in the fourth quarter rookie safety Corey Lynch also got his first pro pick when Favre threw No. 294 trying to take a shot inside the 10 down the sideline. Cornerback Johnathan Joseph tipped the ball headed to wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery.

But Bengals DBs were dropping like flies. Backup cornerback Jamar Fletcher and backup safety Herana-Daze Jones both suffered hamstring injuries in the first half and didn't return.
