Ja'Marr Chase Nominated for FedEx Air & Ground Players of Week 7

Chase caught a franchise-record 16 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati's 33-31 victory Thursday night over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He surpassed 6,000 career receiving yards in the game, becoming the fifth-fastest player in NFL history to reach that milestone (69 career games). Pro Football Hall of Famer Lance Alworth (62 games), Minnesota receiver Justin Jefferson (62), former Atlanta receiver Julio Jones (64) and former New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (67) are the only players to reach 6,000 receiving yards in fewer games.

Chase also recorded his 14th career game with 10+ catches, the second-most games in a player's first five years (New Orleans receiver Michael Thomas, 18 games).

The wideout also became the third receiver in NFL history to record 6,000+ receiving yards and 50+ receiving touchdowns within their first five seasons, joining Hall of Famers Randy Moss and Jerry Rice.

After his showing in primetime, Chase is now in the hunt for his second straight Triple Crown: He ranks in the top three for receiving yards (629, second), touchdowns (five, tied for third) and receptions (58, first). He has recorded 26 receptions for 255 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games.

FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week Voting

Vote for WR Ja'Marr Chase as FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for his performance in Week 7.

This is the second year of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards' new format, which allows wide receivers and tight ends to be eligible for the award each week and at the end of the season. Chase was named one of the FedEx Air and Ground Players of the Year after winning the Triple Crown in 2024, joining Bills QB Josh Allen at the 2025 NFL Honors in February. He was awarded Air & Ground Player of the Week once so far in 2025 after Week 2 against the Jaguars.

Voting opened Monday and will close Wednesday at 3 p.m. Fans can vote at NFL.com/FedEx, on X via the official NFL account or on the NFL mobile app.

This year, FedEx is teaming up with Feeding America: Each week, $2,000 donations will be made in the name of the winning players ($4,000 total) to Feeding America to help combat food insecurity across the country. Since the start of the FedEx Air & Ground program, FedEx has donated nearly $3 million to different nonprofit organizations.
