Bengals sign Busing

Posted: 3:35 p.m.

The Bengals on Tuesday signed free agent safety John Busing, a third-year NFL player from Miami University.

Busing played in 19 games for Cincinnati over 2006-07, logging 18 special-teams tackles and three tackles on defense. He was with the Bengals in the '08 preseason, posting two tackles on defense and two on special teams over three games. He was waived in final roster cuts on Aug. 30.

Busing takes the roster spot opened Monday when safety Corey Lynch was placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
