Bengals release LB Jackson

3-28-05, 2 p.m.

The Bengals released linebacker LaDairis Jackson Monday after he spent last season on injured reserve with a knee injury received in the pre-season victory over New England. Jackson, a waiver claim from Washington during the 2003 season, never played a snap for Cincinnati. He has played in 15 NFL games, all with Washington in 2002. The release most likely doesn't affect the Bengals' salary cap because Jackson wasn't among the top 51 players.
