Bengals prepare for funeral

Posted: 6:10 p.m.

Among the speakers at Tuesday's funeral for Chris Henry are believed to be head coach Marvin Lewis and quarterback Carson Palmer.

More than 100 people are expected to be in the Bengals contingent that is flying to New Orleans for the visitation and funeral service at the Alario Center.

"We have to be respectful of the situation and they would like to pay their respects to Chris's family," Lewis said at his Monday news conference. "We will be very respectful of that situation and their need to bring some closure to it. I think every guy has to deal with this in his own way because they all had different relationships (with Henry)."

One of Henry's good friends, defensive tackle Domata Peko, thinks his mates need this meeting.

"We're going down there to say our last goodbyes to Chris and his family and show our support," Peko said. "And move on from there. It's cool that our team is going to show its love and support."
