Friday update: Dunlap out; Clements questionable

Updated: 2:20 p.m.

Left end Carlos Dunlap was rulled out for the second straight game and cornerback Nate Clements was ruled questionable after both missed Friday's practice with hamstring problems.

Head coach Marvin Lewis said after practice he thinks Clements can play Sunday in Pittsburgh (1 p.m.-Cincinnati's Local 12), but rarely does a player miss a Friday practice and then play. Especially since Clements surfaced on the injury report after Thursday's practice, when he was listed as limited.

Dunlap, who rode the bike early in practice, has missed six straight practices since reaggravating his injury two weeks ago in Baltimore.

Clements is a key guy since he's not only a starter, but moves to the slot on passing downs. The Bengals are strapped at corner without him. After Adam Jones and Kelly Jennings is second-year man Brandon Ghee, a guy that has limited snaps and was limited with a nagging groin injury on Thursday. But he did go full go Friday and is probable.

Safety Chris Crocker can move into the slot if needed, but he was limited all week with the bicep injury that knocked him out of the Cleveland game for a few snaps. Defensive tackle Pat Sims (ankle) may have had a setback. He didn't work Friday after being limited all week and was questionable.

Running back Cedric Benson and defensive tackle Domata Peko, both fighting foot injuries, practiced for the first time this week, went full go and are probable, as is wide receiver Jerome Simpson (knee).
