For the third time this season, Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase earned a nomination for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week. This nomination comes after his record-breaking Week 5 performance versus the Green Bay Packers.

Fans can vote at NFL.com/voting/rookies and a winner will be announced Friday.

Chase, the Bengals' first-round pick in April's draft, came to Cincinnati with a reputation as a premier deep threat at receiver. And so far this season, he's lived up to that billing.

Against the Packers, Chase made six catches for 159 yards, highlighted by a 70-yard touchdown. Chase is the third rookie since at least 1990 with at least five receptions in his team's first five games, joining Randy Moss (1998) and Calvin Ridley (2018).

In 2021, Chase is tied for second in the NFL with five receiving touchdowns and ranks third in yards per catch (19.8) and seventh in receiving yards (456).

This is Chase's third Rookie of the Week nomination. He won the award after his Week 1 performance against the Minnesota Vikings with five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Chase earlier this year was named NFL Rookie of the Month for September.
