AFC Offensive Player of the Week: QB Joe Burrow (2), WR Ja'Marr Chase (2), RB Joe Mixon

  • Week 4 (vs. Jacksonville); Burrow had 348 yards passing in the Bengals' only prime time appearance before the Super Bowl, a 24-21 win over the Jaguars at Paul Brown Stadium he crafted with his first career fourth-quarter comeback on 17 of 20 passing in the second half.
  • Week 7 (at Baltimore); Chase had eight catches for 201 yards in the Bengals' calling-card 41-17 win over the Ravens, the 11th time in NFL history a rookie went for more than 200 yards and the first time for a Bengal. His 754 yards in his first seven NFL games is now the NFL record.
  • Week 12 (vs. Pittsburgh); Mixon commandeered the Bengals' biggest victory over the Steelers in 32 years, 41-10 at Paul Brown Stadium, with a career-best 165 yards on 28 carries, to go with two touchdowns.
  • Week 16 (vs. Baltimore); Burrow's team-record 525 yards is the fourth biggest passing day in NFL history and the biggest in Bengals history and crushed the Ravens again at PBS, 41-21.
  • Week 17 (vs. Kansas City); Chase racked up 11 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns as the Bengals clinched the AFC North in a 34-31 last-snap victory over the Chiefs at PBS. The Bengals had the ball for the final six minutes on a drive Chase kept alive with a 30-yard catch on third-and-27 to highlight a game he set the NFL rookie record for yards in a game and season.

AFC Special Teams Player of the Week: K Evan McPherson (2)

  • Week 1 (vs. Minnesota); McPherson drilled his first two NFL field-goal tries, a 53-yarder in the third quarter and a 33-yarder in OT to give the Bengals a 27-24 Opening Day win.
  • Week 11 (at Las Vegas); the 5-4 Bengals came out of the bye week to beat the 5-4 Raiders, 32-13, when McPherson gave them a 16-6 lead early in the fourth quarter with his NFL record-tying third field goal of at least 50 yards in the same game. According to Elias, that made him the first player in NFL history to kick six field goals of at least 50 yards in his first ten games

Pepsi Rookie of the Week: WR Ja'Marr Chase (5)

  • Week 1 (vs. Minnesota); five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 OT win at Paul Brown Stadium, the most yards on Opening Day by a Bengals rookie wide receiver.
  • Week 5 (vs. Green Bay); five catches for 159 yards and a 70-yard touchdown catch that was the longest Bengals pass in four years during a 25-22 OT loss at PBS. It was the most yards by a Bengals rookie since Speedy Thomas set the record of 177 in 1969.
  • Week 6 (at Detroit); four catches of 97 yards with a 53-yarder, but his big play in the 34-11 win over the Lions was his shove of Lions safety Will Harris at the Detroit 5 to secure running back Joe Mixon's 40-yartd touchdown on fourth-and-one to make it 17-0.

  • Week 1 (vs. Minnesota); he delivered the club's first 100-yard rush game (127 yards on 29 carries) in an opener since Cedric Benson 10 years ago in the Bengals' 27-24 OT win at PBS.
  • Week 11 (at Las Vegas); scoring two touchdowns for the third straight game, Mixon ran for 97 of his 123 yards in the second half of a 32-13 victory over the Raiders.
