Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase earned a nomination for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for his Week 3 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fans can vote at NFL.com/voting/rookies and a winner will be announced Friday.

Chase, the Bengals' first-round pick in April's draft, came to Cincinnati with a reputation as a premier deep threat at receiver. And so far this season, he's lived up to that billing.

Chase caught a 50-yard TD in his NFL debut on Sept. 12 vs. Minnesota, a 42-yard TD the next week at Chicago, and a 34-yard TD in Week 3 at Pittsburgh. That makes him the second player since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger with TD catches of at least 40 yards in each of his first two NFL games (Vikings WR Sammy White in 1976), and the second rookie since the merger with TD catches of at least 25 yards in each of their first three games (Saints WR Donte Stallworth in 2002).

In 2021, Chase has 11 catches for a team-high 220 yards and four TDs.

This is Chase's second Rookie of the Week nomination. He won the award after his Week 1 performance against the Minnesota Vikings with five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
