Bengals waive three

9:55 a.m.

The Bengals sliced their roster to 86 Friday when they cut two rookie free agents and a waiver wire pickup. Released were Idaho State wide receiver Sale' Key and Georgia Southern safety James Young. Also gone is safety Siddeeq Shabazz after they picked him up on waivers from the Falcons April 28 to see if he could expand on his role as a special teamer. Last year in his second NFL season, Shabazz tied for fourth on Atlanta's special teams tackles after Chuck Bresnahan's Raiders picked him up in the seventh round in the 2003 draft. The Bengals have to be down to 83 players when training camp starts July 29.
