Bengals Content Team Nominated for Five Regional Emmys

The Bengals content team received five regional Emmy nominations across four different categories for The Ohio Valley Chapter.

In the category of Sports Story - long form content, the content team received two nominations. "JUICE: The Story of Cam Taylor-Britt," produced by Marisa Contipelli, Grant Gilkeson and Will Laterza, introduces viewers to CB Cam Taylor-Britt, getting to know the defensive back on a more personal level. The team headed down to Montgomery, Alabama for a hometown visit with Taylor-Britt as he visits his old stomping grounds, empowers the local youth and reconnects with the family that helped make him the man he is today.

Contipelli and Laterza were first-time winners in 2024, while Gilkeson was nominated last year as well.

Gilkeson and Grace Hammond were also nominated for their work on "From The Jungle: Bengals All-Access." From The Jungle is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Bengals over the course of the season. 2024 was the second year of From The Jungle.

In the category of Human Interest - short or long form content, Kimberly Skoog became a first-time nominee for her work on OT Orlando Brown Jr.'s Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination video.

The video describes Brown Jr.'s involvement with Breakthrough T1D. Brown, who has been a longtime advocate for Type 1 diabetes research and education, sought an opportunity to make an impact in the greater Cincinnati area when he joined the Bengals as a free agent during the 2023 offseason. He became involved with the local chapter of Breakthrough T1D (formerly known as JDRF), the leading global Type 1 diabetes research organization, and over the past year has taken part in several initiatives to help raise awareness.

In the Content Shorts category, Contipelli and Laterza were nominated for the show "Bengals Breakdown." Bengals Breakdown presented by Microsoft had players watch their own tape and, as the name implies, break down the film to give viewers an inside and unique look from the player's perspective.

Finally, in the category of Promotion - Sports single spot, Skoog was nominated for her work on the Open In Orange reveal video. The video unveiled the Bengals' new orange pants and featured QB Joe Burrow and WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

"I am incredibly proud of our crew for the five Emmy nominations this year," Senior Producer and Team Reporter Marisa Contipelli said. "It is an honor to be recognized by your industry peers, and extremely exciting to see our department's work showcased on a regional stage like this. Last year we had three first time Emmy award winners, and we'd love to add a few more to that list as Kimberly and Grace are first-time nominees. This recognition is another validation that our productions are setting the standard as we continue the goal of creating high-quality and impactful content."

The awards ceremony will take place July 19 in Cincinnati at the Hard Rock Casino.
