The Bengals will attempt to stack road wins against two AFC contenders Sunday as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
Buffalo is coming off a road win of its own, beating the Steelers 26-7 in Pittsburgh. The Bills are second in the AFC East at 8-4.
Bills Offense
Buffalo ran all over Pittsburgh in Week 13, gaining 249 yards on the ground. It was the offense's most rushing yards in a game since Week 15 of 2023 vs. Dallas and the most any team has tallied in Pittsburgh since 1975. The Bills have three games this season with over 200 rushing yards, tied for the most in the NFL. As a whole, Buffalo ranks second in the NFL in yards per game (381) and fifth in points per game (28.1).
RB James Cook led the charge with a career-high 32 carries for 144 yards in Week 13, while backup RB Ray Davis had nine carries for 62 yards, more yards than he had in Weeks 1-12 combined.
On the year, Cook ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,228 and has averaged 5.3 yards per carry. His eight rushing touchdowns are tied for sixth most, but he also has four fumbles, tied for the second most among rushers.
2024 league MVP Josh Allen has added 11 rushing touchdowns of his own this season, the second most in the NFL, but also has five fumbles, tied for the most in the league. He's carried the ball 78 times this season, the third most in the league among quarterbacks, and leads all quarterbacks with 409 rushing yards. Allen broke Cam Newton's record for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in Week 13, scoring his 76th career touchdown on the ground.
Allen has 19 touchdowns through the air to 10 interceptions this season after tossing six last season. He has thrown an interception in four straight contests. Still, he ranks ninth in PFF passing grade among quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks (75.8) and seventh in offensive grade (82.6). Per PFF, the Wyoming product has thrown seven interceptions when he's pressured this year, tied for the most in the NFL, and his 55.0 PFF passing grade under pressure ranks 16th among QBs with at least 10 dropbacks under pressure.
WR Khalil Shakir leads the team with 569 receiving yards as Allen continues to spread the ball around. TE Dalton Kincaid has only played in eight games this year, but he still ranks second on the team in yards (448) and is tied for the team lead with four receiving touchdowns. He's even with Keon Coleman, who was a healthy scratch in Week 12 but scored a touchdown in Week 13. Cook has 236 yards receiving, the 14th most among running backs.
Bills Defense
Buffalo has allowed 304.5 yards per game this season, the eighth fewest in the league. The defense is allowing the third-most rushing yards per game (141.3), but is coming off a season-low 58 yards on the ground allowed against the Steelers.
Its pass coverage has been the team's calling card. After allowing 108 passing yards against the Steelers, the Bills have allowed a league-low 163.2 yards per game through the air. Since the team's Week 7 bye, they rank fourth in EPA (expected points added) allowed per dropback and have the fourth-lowest completion percentage allowed on the season (59.5). CB Christian Benford shadowed Steelers' WR1 D.K. Metcalf, something he hasn't done much during the season. Benford more than held his own, though, and didn't allow a catch when covering Metcalf. Rookie corner Maxwell Hairston missed the team's first six games with injury but has allowed just six receptions on 13 targets in 101 coverage snaps since returning in Week 8.
The Bills added veteran edge rusher Joey Bosa in the offseason, and he's made an impact so far in 2025: Per PFF, Bosa's 41 pressures ranks 21st in the NFL among edge rushers and his 90.1 pass-rush grade ranks fifth. Bosa is dealing with a hamstring injury coming out of the win over Pittsburgh.
Buffalo placed K Tyler Bass on injured reserve in Week 1, and it was officially announced he will not return this year after undergoing surgery last week. Veteran Matt Prater has taken over kicking duties this year, making 17 of 19 attempts, and he is 16 of 17 from inside 50 yards.
