Bengals Sign TE Matt Lengel

When the Bengals re-signed prodigal son Matt Lengel Wednesday, it put them back to four tight ends for Sunday's game (1 p.m.-Cincinnati's Channel 12) against the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium.

That's if they choose to make him active after plucking him from the Texans' practice squad. The Bengals gave the 6-7 Lengel his shot in the pros in 2015 when they signed him out of Eastern Kentucky undrafted. He didn't play a game here, but ended up playing six games for the 2016 Patriots while appearing in their Super Bowl win over the Falcons. He played a game for the Browns last season before ending up in Houston.
