Bengals Lose to Ravens 24-0 | POSTGAME RECAP, NOTES & QUOTES

In the coldest game at Paycor Stadium in 25 years, the Ravens froze Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's sizzling offense while they posted a 24-0 victory in a game that began in 10-degree weather with a minus-one wind chill.

In the previous two games, Burrow steered the Bengals to 32 points in Baltimore and 34 in Buffalo. But on Sunday, the Ravens secondary locked down the Bengals passing game when they blanked Burrow in his first career shutout on 225 yards with two interceptions that included a combined pick-six.

Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (10 catches-132 yards) went over 100 catches on the season with his 16th career game of least 10 catches.

Burrow and Jackson typically stage shootouts, but this one was dominated by defense and the Bengals' unit contributed rookie linebacker Demetrius Knight's first two career sacks, defensive end Myles Murphy's first two-sack game, and safety Jordan Battle's team-leading fourth interception.

NOTES

Chase Makes History in 75th Game

Chase caught 10 passes for 132 yards in his 75th regular-season game played on Sunday. He improved his career receptions total to 496, which are the second-most through a player's first 75 games in NFL history, trailing only former New Orleans receiver Michael Thomas (538).

Chase also improved his career receiving yardage total to 6,572. He joined Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss as the only players in NFL history with at least 6,500 receiving yards and 50 receiving touchdowns in their first five career seasons.

Sunday was Chase's sixth game this season with 100 or more receiving yards, which ties A.J. Green (2013) for the most in a single season in Bengals history.

Chase's ninth catch of the day was his 100th reception of the season. It is the 16th time in NFL history in which a player recorded 100 or more catches in three consecutive seasons.

Battle Gets Fourth Pick of Season

After Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey picked off Burrow in Baltimore territory, safety Jordan Battle returned the favor on the next drive as he got his hands under a deflected pass for his fourth interception of the season.

Battle's four picks are tied for sixth in the NFL this season. His last pick came in Week 7 against Pittsburgh. A Bengals player has recorded at least four interceptions in each of the past five seasons dating back to 2021.

Murphy, Knight Log First Multi-Sack Games

Myles Murphy recorded multiple sacks in a game for the first time in his career, as he took down Jackson for a two-yard loss to force a Baltimore punt on the game's opening drive, then in the third quarter he dropped Jackson for a six-yard loss. Murphy now is up to 4.5 sacks on the season and 7.5 in his career.

Rookie linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. registered the first two sacks of his young career, bringing down Jackson for a nine-yard loss in the first quarter and a five-yard loss to force a punt in the third period. Prior to Knight on Sunday, the last Bengals rookie with multiple sacks in a game was defensive tackle Kris Jenkins Jr., who had two in Week 16 of last season against Cleveland.

The last time two Cincinnati players recorded multiple sacks in a game was Week 17 of the 2019 season, when Carlos Dunlap had 2.5 and Carl Lawson had two against Cleveland.
