Safety Jessie Bates III and defensive end Trey Hendrickson earned spots on the 2021 NFL Network Top 100 list as voted on by the players.
Bates checked in at No. 90 overall, while Hendrickson came in at No. 73. This is the first appearance on the NFL Network's Top 100 list for both Bates and Hendrickson.
Last season, Hendrickson tied for the NFC lead in sacks (13.5) while helping the New Orleans Saints to top-five NFL rankings in total defense (fourth), rushing defense (fourth), passing defense (fifth) and points allowed (fifth). Hendrickson signed with the Bengals in free agency during the offseason.
Bates earned a Second Team All-Pro selection and had Pro Football Focus' highest overall defensive grade (90.1) among safeties in 2020. The 24-year-old finished with 109 tackles, three interceptions and 15 passes defensed last season.
This is the 11th year of the NFL Network Top 100. The list was determined by a balloting of current players.
