Bengals LB Demetrius Knight Jr. has been nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for his performance in Week 1, the NFL announced today.
Fans can vote for Knight on www.nfl.com/rookies and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 11:00 AM ET.
Knight logged 10 total tackles, including six on the first drive alone, in Cincinnati's 17-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. Starting alongside LB Logan Wilson, Knight helped limit the Cleveland rushing attack to under two yards per carry, with the longest attempt going for just five yards.
"Usually, when I make one or two tackles, I get into that flow and stay in that rhythm and truly become that warrior out there," Knight said.

The second-round pick from South Carolina played 76% of the defensive snaps in his debut and tied LB Keith Rivers for the most tackles by a Bengal in his first game. He also added a pass defensed.
Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Broncos RB RJ Harvey, Browns RB Dylan Sampson, Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka and Colts TE Tyler Warren rounded out the list of Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week nominees.
The Pepsi® Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week will be announced Thursday on NFL.com. After the regular season, six players will be nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on nfl.com/rookies throughout the month of January.
