The Bengals added another member of the LSU Tigers 2019 National Championship squad with the addition of defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin.

The former five-star recruit was a big piece in the Tigers' national title run starting 14 of 15 games and recording 39 tackles, three for losses, and two pass breakups. He opted out of the 2020 season.

Shelvin played for former LSU linebacker Trev Faulk at Northside High School in Lafayette but transferred to Notre Dame High School (Crowley) in 2016.

Shelvin joins his former LSU teammates Joe Burrow, Thaddeus Moss and Ja'Marr Chase on the Bengals roster.
