Barrett Carter Nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for Week 12

Bengals LB Barrett Carter has been nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for his performance in Week 12, the NFL announced today.

Fans can vote for Carter on www.nfl.com/rookies and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 11:00 AM ET.

Carter had the second-most tackles by a Bengals rookie since 1994 Sunday, logging 16 takedowns in the 26-20 loss. His 16 tackles are tied for the fourth most by any Bengal since 1994 as well. The fourth-round pick from Clemson had eight solo tackles, tied for the most by a Bengals defender in a game this season.

Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week Voting

Vote for LB Barrett Carter for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for his performance in Week 12.

Carter has immediately stepped into a leadership role on the Bengals defense, starting at linebacker alongside fellow rookie Demetrius Knight Jr. Carter and Knight are tied at 78 tackles apiece this season, ranking third on the team behind Jordan Battle (82) and Geno Stone (80).

Titans QB Cam Ward, Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty, Browns RB Dylan Sampson, Giants DT Darius Alexander and Texans S Jaylen Reed rounded out the list of Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week nominees.

The PepsiĀ® Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week will be announced Thursday on NFL.com. After the regular season, six players will be nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on nfl.com/rookies throughout the month of January.
