2026 Bengals Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week Honorees

Week 1 - Adam Schoster, Roger Bacon High School

Week 1 - Adam Schoster, Roger Bacon High School

Adam Schoster is a lifelong resident of the Greater Cincinnati area. He is a graduate of Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati. He also served 6 years in the Ohio Army National Guard. Adam is a Certified Financial Planner and works in the financial services industry. He has coached youth football for 3 years at the Harrison Youth Football program, and most recently coached for St. John Dry Ridge in the GCYL league for 6 seasons. He has also coached youth basketball for over 15 years.

This is his first-year coaching at the high school level in Roger Bacon's inaugural season of flag football. The team is off to a great start, earning victories in all their first 7 games.

Week 2 - Malik Bland, Withrow High School

Week 2 - Malik Bland, Withrow High School

Malik Bland is entering his second-year coaching girls' flag football and his first year as head coach. He has been coaching the football program for six years, working with the quarterbacks, and has won back-to-back junior high championships as a head coach.

He is now looking to bring that same success, structure, and energy to the girls' program, ensuring they have the same opportunities to compete, grow, and succeed as the boys.

Week 3 - Crystal Becker, Clark Montessori

Week 3 - Crystal Becker, Clark Montessori

Crystal Becker is in her second season as head coach at Clark Montessori, where she has also been teaching Physical Education and Health for 11 years. She brings 13 years of experience in Cincinnati Public Schools and serves on the district's steering committee.

While she has coached track and field, volleyball, basketball, and bowling, flag football has become her true passion. She credits her players' energy, enthusiasm, and grit as the driving force behind the program's success and emphasizes that she couldn't do it without the support of her offensive and defensive coaches. Becker's children, Charlotte and Mason, are often on the sidelines supporting the team, adding to the strong sense of family and community she builds within her program.

Week 4 - Ericka Guy, Dunbar High School

Week 4 - Ericka Guy, Dunbar High School

Ericka Guy is the Head Flag Football and Head Girls Basketball Coach at Dayton's Dunbar High School. This is her 3rd season as head coach for flag football at Dunbar. The team has enjoyed being included in this league this season.

They lost in the Dayton Public City Championship in each of the past two seasons but are looking forward to winning the City Championship in Season 3. They are preparing to make a run in the upcoming Bengals playoffs and are having fun and enjoying the experience along the way.

Week 5 - David White, Princeton High School

Week 5 - David White, Princeton High School

David "Bop" White is a proud alumnus of Princeton High School, where he was a standout football player, earning all-conference and all-state honors. He continued his career at Ohio University as a cornerback, becoming the program's No. 2 all-time leader in career interceptions with 17 while earning all-conference recognition, laying the foundation for a coaching career defined by passion, discipline, and a commitment to developing young athletes.

With over 20 years of coaching experience, Coach Bop is a cornerstone of the Princeton Athletic Community, serving as a varsity assistant football coach and helping shape future talent through Vikings Youth Athletics (VYA). He also helped launch Princeton's inaugural girls flag football program, which has achieved an 8–2 record and is poised for a strong playoff run.

Week 5 - Calvin Holt, Ponitz High School

Week 5 - Calvin Holt, Ponitz High School

Coach Calvin Holt has spent years helping students grow both on and off the field. He is known as a man who always puts others before himself and works hard to support everyone around him. Coach Holt cares deeply about the well-being of students and student athletes, always making sure they feel encouraged and safe. He is also the founder of The Distinguished Gentlemen mentoring program, where he guides young people to become strong and respectful leaders.

With three years as a Varsity Football assistant coach and two years coaching girls flag football—including one undefeated season and two city championships with Dayton Public Schools—Coach Holt has made a lasting impact on the students he comes in contact with.
