GENERAL: Sixth-year pro, released by Bengals during 2008 season, was re-signed on April 24 and reclaimed the No. 1 FB spot in training camp … Has played in Games 1-9 with four starts, recording two rushes for six yards and three catches for 25 yards ... Has aided the effort to make Cedric Benson the NFL’s sixth-leading rusher with 859 yards through Week 10 … Has contributed to Bengals ranking sixth in NFL in fewest sacks allowed (12), including just five in the last five games     

GAME-BY-GAME: Aided 141-yard rushing game by Cedric Benson on Sept. 20 at Green Bay … Had a two-yard rush converting a third-and-one situation Sept. 27 vs. Pittsburgh … Had one rush for four yards Oct. 4 at Cleveland … On Oct. 11 at Baltimore, helped limit Ravens to one sack while helping Benson (27-for-120) become the first player to rush for 100 yards against Baltimore in 40 games … Helped lead a pass protection effort Oct. 18 vs. Houston that allowed only one sack for the second straight week … Had two catches for 16 yards Oct. 25 vs. Chicago, while helping Benson rush for a career-high 189 yards and aiding a sack-free performance up front … On Nov. 8 vs. Baltimore, aided performance of just one sack allowed (for one yard), and helped Benson rush for 117 yards … On Nov. 15 at Pittsburgh, helped offense control line of scrimmage for fourth-quarter FG drives of 50 and 54 yards to get Cincinnati’s winning six-point margin.

PREVIOUS SEASONS: 2008 - Opened training camp with Bengals, but was not cleared for practice through the second preseason game, due to conditioning issues … Played in the last two preseason games (no statistics), with a start in finale on Aug. 28 at Indianapolis … Suffered knee injury in practice on Sept. 1, and was placed on Reserve/Injured list on Sept. 3 … Waived from Reserve/Injured on Nov. 26, following completion of rehab.

2007 — Helped Bengals to No. 2 NFL ranking with their 17 sacks allowed, behind only New Orleans (16) … Helped power rushing offense to 177 yards Oct. 21 vs. N.Y.  Jets, including 130-yard game by RB Kenny Watson … Had a one-yard TD catch Nov. 4 at Buffalo, and also had a key block on Glenn Holt’s 100-yard kickoff return … Blocked for season-high team rushing total of 192 yards Dec. 9 vs. St. Louis.

2006 — Earned his top league-wide recognition, finishing as first alternate in AFC Pro Bowl voting … Became a restricted free agent following ’05 season, and re-signed with Bengals on 4-13-06 … Helped power Rudi Johnson to season-high 145 rushing yards Sept. 17 vs. Cleveland … On Nov. 12 vs. San Diego, had three-yard rushing TD for game’s first score … Had four rushes for career-high 23 yards Nov. 30 vs. Baltimore.

2005 — Helped Bengals capture AFC North championship, scoring career-high three TDs (all receiving) and aiding Rudi Johnson’s club-record 1458 rushing yards … Aided pass protection that allowed only 21 sacks, a club record at the time … Scored on 18-yard catch Sept. 11 at Cleveland, breaking a tackle to reach end zone … Scored the only Bengals TD of the day in win Oct. 2 vs. Houston, a one-yard reception that put Cincinnati ahead 10-3 … Had career-long 27-yard catch for a TD in win Oct. 30 vs. Green Bay.

2004 — Had a two-yard TD catch for game’s first score on Oct. 3 at Pittsburgh … On Nov. 28 vs. Cleveland, helped Rudi Johnson power his way to a career-high 202 yards on 26 carries.

2003 — Drafted by Bengals in fourth round (118th overall) … Signed July 27 … Scored his first pro TD Nov. 9 vs. Houston, dragging Texans defender into end zone on one-yard second-quarter run that gave Bengals 14-10 lead … Also vs. Houston, helped RB Rudi Johnson rush for 182 yards on team-record 43 carries as Bengals posted their highest possession time (41:15) in 226 games … Had 13-yard TD reception Nov. 16 vs. Kansas City, putting Bengals ahead to stay at 10-6 in big win against an undefeated (9-0) opponent.   

COLLEGE: Began college career as an All-Big Ten freshman team selection at Indiana in 1999, and stayed at Indiana through 2001, with three-year totals of 931 rushing yards (5.1 avg.) and 386 receiving yards (10.4 avg.) … Scored 11 rushing TDs and two receiving TDs at Indiana while playing 33 games with 16 starts … Left Indiana to play his 2002 senior season at Division I-AA Western Kentucky, following Hoosiers WRs coach T.J. Weist, who was leaving to join WKU as running backs coach … Johnson was a key blocker and yardage-producer for WKU’s 2002 national championship team, gaining 947 scrimmage yards and helping RB Jon Frazier rush for 1606 yards.
