Offensive Line Career
|2021||New York Giants||11||10|
Cincinnati's first-round pick in 2018, Price is a versatile lineman who has starting experience at all three interior OL positions ... Spent 2020 in reserve role, regularly filling in for injured players along the interior of the line, and saw action on 19.2 percent of offensive snaps ... Lone start of season was at C in upset win over Tennessee, when he aided in blocking effort that allowed zero sacks and helped Bengals gain a nearly 12-minute edge in time of possession ... Played all 16 games in 2019, with eight starts (seven at LG, one at RG) ... Served as Bengals' No. 1 C as rookie in 2018, but was limited by injuries to just 10 games (all starts) ... Helped HB Joe Mixon to back-to-back 1000-yard seasons in 2018-19, including AFC best 1168 rushing yards in '18.
Price cleared but continues to grind
The surprise isn't that rookie center Billy Price's New York doctor cleared him for all football activities on Monday. The surprise is that he did so much work on the field during the last month before he did get cleared.
Price's roller coaster takes another turn
Here's the deal behind the deal Billy Price signed Monday.
Bengals Sign First-Round Draft Pick Billy Price
The Bengals today signed C Billy Price of Ohio State University, their first-round selection (21st overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. The contract is for four years through 2021, with a team option to extend it by one year through 2022.
Hobson's Choice: something old, a lot new
Tough sledding for rookies like cornerback Davontae Harris (35) when it comes to a deep defensive depth chart, but like many of the draft picks he can make the club in the kicking game and play a lot on special teams.
Bengals Sign Three Try-Out Players
Bengals signed three try-out players who are all college free agents after rookie minicamp.
Worley fitting right in
If you're a Bengals fan, what is there not to like about rookie linebacker Chris Worley?
Slants and screens: Price puts in full day despite injury; 3 more sign
The Bengals today signed three draft picks, including second-round S Jessie Bates, fourth-round HB Mark Walton and fifth-round CB Darius Phillips.
Rookies offer first glance
The Bengals held their first practice of rookie minicamp Friday and not much of it is going to translate to the Opening Day roster. For instance, Billy Price wasn't out there but will be in September. Still, Marvin Lewis was able to showcase his new coaches.
Flowers, Worley lead CFA list
With the first of three rookie minicamp practices set for Friday afternoon, the Bengals announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents. South Florida quarterback Quinton Flowers made the switch to running back and Ohio State linebacker Chris Worley (above) joined fellow Buckeye rookies Billy Price and Sam Hubbard.
No footnotes in rookie minicamp
The Bengals' rookie week-end minicamp that begins Friday is headlined by Ohio State alums Billy Price, Sam Hubbard and Chris Worley, but don't sluff off as footnotes returners like Kermit Whitfield, Kent Perkins, Sojourn Shelton and Jonathan Brown.
May grind for O-line
The Bengals began their second week on the field Monday without helmets in something the NFL calls "Phase 2," of the voluntary off-season workouts. But offensive linemen like Trey Hopkins (66) don't need their headgear to know new coach Frank Pollack is changing the way they think.
Hobson's Choice: walking the line in the draft
Bengaldom hopes their team walked the line well in last week's NFL Draft. They went offensive line in the first round and then in the last round. Mississippi's Rod Taylor waited a long time to get picked, but he may have enough versatility to stay around longer than that.
Draft Recap: 5 Things You Need to Know
Five things you need to know about the Bengals 2018 draft.
Competition opens on O-line
The Bengals get on the field for the first time Monday for walk-through and drills and that means the offensive line is going to get another jolt of the change in culture new offensive line coach Frank Pollack is introducing to the position after drafting two players.
Shades of '12 draft gets defensive
It has kind of a whiff of 2012. The Bengals would love that, if this weekend's draft turned out like that one since it yielded six starters or regulars and doubled the standard of three for each draft. It was a big lift for the 2011 team's surprising play-off appearance and helped set the table for those five straight post-season runs. Like the '12 draft, this one was defined by trades.
