Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap, who led the team in sacks this season, is getting national praise for another productive year as he continues to chase the Bengals all-time sack record.
Pro Football Focus ranked Dunlap as the 42nd best player on their annual top 101 players list for 2019.
Dunlap ended the season with the highest overall PFF grade of his career at 89.7. He racked up 50 total pressures, forcing a pair of fumbles and batting down four passes at the line of scrimmage to go with registering the best run-defense grade of his career.
Overall in 2019 Dunlap recorded nine sacks and 63 tackles in 14 games. The nine sacks were his highest since registering 13.5 in 2015 and the 63 tackles the most since 2014 when Dunlap made 66 stops. He also won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award twice in 2019.
Dunlap stands at 81.5 sacks for his career, just two shy of defensive end Eddie Edwards (83.5) for the Bengals' all-time lead.
