The Bengals today signed free agent OT Andre Smith and placed OT Jake Fisher on the Reserve/Injured list.
Smith (6-4, 325), a 10th-year veteran, originally was the Bengals' first-round draft pick (sixth overall) out of Alabama in 2009 and spent eight of his previous nine NFL seasons with Cincinnati. He played with the team from 2009-15, then spent one season with the Minnesota Vikings in '16 before returning to Cincinnati for '17. Smith had signed with Arizona as an unrestricted free agent in March, and played in eight of the Cardinals' first 11 games before being waived on Monday.
Fisher, a fourth-year player, suffered a back injury on Sunday vs. Cleveland. He had played in all 11 of the Bengals' games this season and had started the Browns game at LOT.
