The Bengals today placed G Alex Redmond on the Reserve/Injured list, and activated CB Darius Phillips to the active roster from the Reserve/Injured list.

Redmond, a third-year player, suffered a left elbow injury during pregame warmups before last Sunday's game vs. Pittsburgh. He had played in three games this season, with two starts at RG.

Phillips, a second-year player, spent the last eight weeks on the Reserve/Injured list due to a knee injury suffered in Game 3 at Buffalo. He played in the Bengals' first three games this season and recorded one tackle, one INT, and six kickoff returns for 137 yards (22.8 average).

The Bengals designated Phillips to return from Reserve/Injured on Nov. 21, at which time he returned to practice but did not count against the team's roster limit. He is the first of two possible players the team may return to the active roster from R/I this season. The other is WR John Ross III, who was designated for return and began practicing on Nov. 13. Ross is eligible to return to the active roster as early as next week.
