Entering the 2009 season, the Bengals had an active sellout streak of 44 consecutive games, dating back to November 2003 when Cincinnati defeated what was at the time a 9-0 Kansas City Chiefs team. This new team record of 44 sellouts surpassed the prior mark of 43 set from 1988-1992 at Riverfront Stadium.
