2009 RECAP: Signed with Bengals as college free agent on May 3, following an impressive performance as a tryout player in team’s rookie minicamp … Played in all four preseason games (no statistics) … Waived Sept. 5, and signed Sept. 6 to Bengals practice squad … Signed to Bengals 53-player roster on Dec. 30 … Made NFL debut in Game 16, Jan. 3 at N.Y. Jets (no stats) … Inactive for Wild Card playoff 1-9-10 vs. Jets.

COLLEGE: Played four seasons (2005-08) at Ball State, appearing in all 50 of team’s games … In addition to his school-record 31 TD catches, he departed as No. 3 in career receptions (158) and receiving yards (2473) … Named first-team All-Mid American Conference as both a junior and senior … Earned honorable mention All-America from SI.com as a junior, when he posted school-record 11 TD catches while catching 65-for-926 … As a senior, helped lead Cardinals to a 12-2 mark, including a 12-0 start before losses in MAC title game (to Buffalo) and in GMAC Bowl (to Tulsa) … Redshirted (did not play) in 2004.

PERSONAL: Hometown is Blue Springs, Mo. … Attended Blue Springs High School, where he helped lead team to 13-0 record as a senior … Also earned three prep letters in basketball.

*NOTE: Hill did not earn an accrued year of experience toward NFL free agency in 2009 because he was not on a 53-player roster, a Reserve/Injured list or a Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list for the required minimum of six games. He is designated a first-year player in 2010.
