On Oct. 19 vs. Pittsburgh, forced a punt in second quarter after he forced Mewelde Moore to fumble (Steelers retained possession) after a third-down pass reception ... In 21-19 win Nov. 2 vs. Jacksonville, kept Jaguars from tying score at 21 when he teamed with S Marvin White to break up two-point conversion pass late in fourth quarter ... Jets, went 42 yards for a TD with his first pro INT (off Chad Pennington), and the late fourth-quarter score provided eventual winning points in 38-31 decision ... Snagged his second INT on Nov. 25 vs. Tennessee, outfighting TE Bo Scaife for Vince Young pass in first quarter, with four-yard return to Bengals 46 ... Also vs. Tennessee, led team in passes defensed (three) and led secondary in tackles (seven) ... Had an INT for the second straight game Dec. 2 at Pittsburgh, picking off Ben Roethlisberger pass at Steelers 24 in the fourth quarter and returning it seven yards ... On Nov. 19 at New Orleans, had seven tackles, and blocked John Carney PAT try after Saints' final TD in fourth quarter, first Bengals blocked PAT since '91 ... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Joseph had been limited by injuries in both 2007 and ’08, and he entered ’09 with a stated goal of starting every game. He did that, covering all 21 games in preseason, regular season and postseason.

COLLEGE: Played two seasons (2004-05) at South Carolina after playing in 2003 at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College ... Entered NFL Draft after his junior season at South Carolina ... Played only 14 games at South Carolina, due to broken foot that limited him to two games in '04, but still was able to establish himself among the elite CBs in Southeastern Conference ... Played in 12 games with 11 starts in '05, when he had four INTs (one for TD).
