After a promising 2007 season, Dorsey was limited to four games in ’08, due to a hamstring injury … Provided some spark on offense in ’07, posting 8.7-yard rushing average (21-183), and also became first Bengal since 1978 to return his own blocked punt for a TD … Played for Indianapolis in 2006 in 13 regular-season games and four playoff games, including Super Bowl XLI … First entered the NFL as a college free agent with Bengals in 2005 … Bengals contract expired after ’08 season, and he re-signed as a free agent on 2-27-09.

2008 RECAP: Ended his abbreviated season with four rushes for eight yards and two receptions for 49 yards ... On Sept. 14 vs. Tennessee, led team in receiving yards (49 on two catches) and was three-for-10 rushing, also leading team in yards from scrimmage (59) ... Opened training camp with groin injury suffered in minicamp, but played in last three preseason games, rushing 16-for-55 with a TD and catching one pass for zero yards.

DO IT YOURSELF: On Nov. 18, 2007 vs. Arizona, Dorsey blocked a Mike Barr punt in the third quarter and returned it 19 yards for a TD. The blocked punt was Bengals first since 1989, and Dorsey became only the third Bengal to single-handedly block a punt and score a TD, joining DE Bob Maddox (1974 vs. Kansas City) and CB Scott Perry (1978 vs. Kansas City).

PREVIOUS SEASONS: 2007 - Opened preseason with Indianapolis and played in all four Colts preseason games … Waived on Sept. 2 … Signed on Sept. 25 with Bengals as free agent … Played in 12 games (Games 4-15), and credited with two starts (Games 12 and 15) … Suffered high ankle sprain Dec. 23 vs. Cleveland and was placed Dec. 26 on Reserve/Injured list, missing Game 16 at Miami … His 8.7-yard rushing average (on 21-for-183) is the highest season average in Bengals history for a player with 20 or more attempts … His 45-yard rush on Dec. 9 vs. St. Louis was the longest Bengals rushing gain of the ’07 season.

2006 - Signed May 5 with Bengals as college free agent ... Played in all four Bengals preseason games, rushing 20-for-149 (7.5 avg.) and adding three receptions for 80 yards ... Waived Sept. 2, and acquired on waivers by Indianapolis on Sept. 3 ... Inactive for Colts in Games 1-3, rehabbing from preseason ankle injury, and played on special teams in Games 4-16, plus all four postseason games.

COLLEGE: In two seasons (2004-05) at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.), Dorsey earned rare distinction of NAIA All-America honors on both offense and defense ... Won honors at DB as junior and at RB as senior ... Moved full-time to RB with four games remaining in junior year, and in 15 career games at RB, rushed for 2441 yards with 15 TDs ... Started college career at Ottawa (Kan.) University in 2002-03 ... For full college career, had 16 blocked kicks (seven FGs and nine punts).
