      A 2015 fifth-round draft choice, Uzomah stepped into significant role in ’16, due to his own progress and to injuries at TE position ... But he fell victim to injury himself, missing five games in season’s second half (calf injury) ... Had a 54-yard reception in season opener, tied for Bengals’ second-longest receiving gain of the season ... Had only 29 career catches in college, in an Auburn offense not designed for passes to TE, but seven of his catches were for TDs, and Bengals prized his potential for NFL success.
