The former mark was 6.5, by Detroit DE William Gay in 1983. Odom had two sacks of Kyle Orton in the season opener vs. Denver, and on Sept. 20 at Green Bay, he earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors after sacking Aaron Rodgers five times. Odom also earned AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
