Gameday Headlines

  • For openers, Jackson, Dennard get a shot

History may repeat itself in the wake of cornerback Adam Jones’ one-game suspension handed down by the NFL Friday.

  • Voters offer nifty 50

By Geoff Hobson - Posted Jul 20, 2017

Bengaldom got it right. You knew the merchants of Munoz would come through. You knew the lords of Lemar and LeClair would make the right call. You knew the counts of Collinsworth and Casanova had the vibe. That the knights of the Kennys were in the know. That the dukes of Dillon had the draw and the barons of Boomer had the bead.

  • Willie still paving the way

By Geoff Hobson - Posted Jul 19, 2017

How fitting that on Wednesday Willie Anderson anchors the next-to-last installment of the vote choosing the Bengals’ top 50 players of all-time. Anderson, the franchise’s all-time right tackle, comes in at No. 14, just behind his right guard, Max Montoya at No. 13, and, even more fitting, just ahead of Corey Dillon at No. 15. Dillon, the club’s all-time rusher, ripped off 8,061 yards in 107 games and Anderson was his right tackle in 106 of them in those days the Bengals were also-rans who could run at will and behind Willie and Dillon is right with him again.
