The Bengals entered 2007 with expectations of - at the very least - making the playoffs. But after an impressive 27-20 Monday night win over Baltimore in the season opener, Cincinnati dropped six of its next seven games to fall to 2-6 and virtually eliminate itself from any postseason consideration. The Bengals did close out the second half of the season winning five of their final eight games, fueling optimism that the success will carry over to the 2008 season.

Individually in '07, the Bengals had a number of notable accomplishments. Among them:

• WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh became the first Bengal to gain a share of the NFL receptions lead, tying for the league title with a team-record 112 catches. He led the team in TDs (12) and was the only Bengal voted to the Pro Bowl.
• WR Chad Johnson had 1440 receiving yards, breaking his own club mark of 1432 from 2005. He finished third in the AFC, following an unprecedented four-year run as the conference yards champ.
• QB Carson Palmer re-set two of his own club records, passing for 4131 yards and tossing 373 completions.
• Shayne Graham kicked a club-record 31 field goals while also re-setting his own club mark for season FG accuracy (now 91.2 percent).
• CB Leon Hall, the team's top draft pick, tied for the NFL rookie INT lead with five, tying the Bengals rookie record.
