Xmas update: Wednesday injury report

The Bengals didn't practice Wednesday on Christmas Day, but released an estimated injury report if they did.

The Bengals didn't practice Wednesday on Christmas Day, but released an estimated injury report if they did with WILL backer Vontaze Burfict (concussion) and tight end Tyler Eifert (neck) still sitting out. Also out would have been cornerback Terence Newman (knee) and defensive tackle Devon Still (back). Newman, who has missed the last two games, looks close to getting back and appears to have a shot at playing in a first-round playoff game in 10 days.

The following players didn't work Tuesday but were listed as limited Wednesday: right tackle Andre Smith (ankle), tight end Jermaine Gresham (hamstring), cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle) and linebacker Vinny Rey (ankle).
