WILL backer Vontaze Burfict (ankle) was on the field even though head coach Marvin Lewis indicated after Sunday's game he wouldn't work until Thursday. He was listed as limited as were a few other regulars that looked to be getting rest.

Wide receiver A.J. Green (groin) was in that group. He said Sunday and again Wednesday the shot on his hip he took on the first series in San Diego wasn't serious. He said it was still a little sore and he might be backed off, but nothing major. Although another issue surfaced, that doesn't appear to be major either.

Also limited Wednesday were two of Green's running mates in wide receiver Andrew Hawkins (hamstring) and tight end Tyler Eifert (knee), as well as cornerback Adam Jones (hip). Left tackle-guard Andrew Whitworth (calf) was also limited.

HUBER NAMED: Finally, after 76 games and two single-season club records, Bengals punter Kevin Huber got his first AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award Wednesday for his career highs in gross and net average at 55.5 yards per punt that featured a club record-tying 75-yarder Sunday.

In the five seasons Huber has been here, Bengals kickers Mike Nugent and Josh Brown, as well as punt returner Adam Jones and kick returner Bernard Scott, have won weekly or monthly awards.

"It's nice to get the award," Huber said before Wednesday's practice. "It goes with the guys in font of me. Clark (Harris) snapping it. Dre (Kirkpatrick) getting down there and making the play before going into the end zone. Protection. A lof of factors played into the game. It kind of goes to all those guys, too."

Huber knows what is headed his way. The last three games are against the top three punt return teams in the NFL with Baltimore first, Minnesota second and Pittsburgh third. The Colts are 14th.

GREEN NO. 9: With 504,142 votes, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is second among receivers and ninth among all players in Pro Bowl voting. Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who leads the NFL in receiving yards with 1,229, is fiifth overall with 634,819 votes. Green is tied for fifth in yardage with 1,103. The top three vote-getters are Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (926,432), Saints quarterback Drew Brees (793,685) and Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch (643,363).
