VOTE HERE: Green-Ellis for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week

Green-Ellis

For the second straight week Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been named by the NFL as one of three nominees for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.

Green-Ellis rushed for 129 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown in last Sunday's 34-10 win over the Raiders, Cincinnati's third consecutive win. The game featured the two longest runs of Green-Ellis's career—39 and 48 yards—and was the second of back-to-back 100-yard rushing efforts, the first time Green-Ellis has accomplished that feat in his career.

Green-Ellis is one of three finalists for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week along with Texans RB Arian Foster and Rams RB Steven Jackson.

Bengals fans can vote for Green-Ellis now through Friday, November 30 at 3 p.m. ET to determine the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.

Fans will be voting for more than their favorite player. As part of the Air & Ground program and its commitment to small business owners, FedEx will support education efforts at Junior Achievement by making weekly $2,000 donations in each of the winning players’ names. The funding, allocated to local Junior Achievement area offices in that team’s city or state, is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.

Just like most everybody else on his new team, middle linebacker Kevin Minter has been on clubs that have had double-digit wins every year he’s played in the NFL. Except last season, when Arizona’s 7-8-1 turned out to be not that much different than Cincinnati’s 6-9-1. So he’s getting the same kind of vibe as he settles into an edgy Paul Brown Stadium locker room this spring.

  • No mixed messages as Dalton eyes additions

By Geoff Hobson - Posted May 15, 2017

Many of the Bengals rookies returned to mingle with the veterans for the first time Monday during off-season workouts (enough that five of them signed their deals) and quarterback Andy Dalton was able to look them in the eye instead of text them. Which is how he communicated with second-rounder Joe Mixon, the Oklahoma running back, during the rookie minicamp.
