Community: Roy Williams hosts PBS event Friday

Bengals safety Roy Williams is holding a benefit evening Friday in the West Lounge of Paul Brown Stadium for the Pros For Africa organization he helped found. Next March PFA plans to spend four days in Uganda and three days in Rwanda to provide medical aid, food, drinking water, and hearing aids.

Individual tickets for the 6:30-8:30 p.m. event go for $100, two levels of table sponsors are $2,500 and $5,000, and a corporate sponsorship is $10,000. The $5,000 table includes eight seats and VIP passes to a private reception with players, and an official PFA canvas autographed by Williams, Carson Palmer, Chad Ochocinco and Antwan Odom.

PFA is an international, non-profit relief organization partnering with professional athletes, business professionals and other organizations. It provides food, water, clothing, medicine and other supplies to children affected by war, poverty and natural disasters. Williams' co-founders are Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris and Rams wide receiver Mark Clayton.
